Friday Hot Guy Blogging: Jaime Camil

Mmmmm....dreamy. Film, stage, and music star Jaime Camil may just be Mexico's best kept secret; unlike Gael Garcia Bernal or Salma Hayek, he is barely known outside his own country.
That will probably change next fall, however, when Camil storms Broadway as the lead in the musical stage version of The Mambo Kings. Based on Hijuelos' acclaimed novel The Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love, the musical follows the story of two Cuban brothers who travel to New York City in 1949 with dreams of becoming recording stars. The novel was previously adapted into a movie starring Armand Assante and Antonio Banderas.
Camil will be joined on Broadway by NYPD Blue star Esai Morales, Six Feet Under's Justina Machado, Latin music diva Albita, and the legendary Billie Dee Williams. (Sidebar: take the Billy Dee Smoothness Test: How Smooth Are You?)
If you're a fan of Camil's work in Alfonso Arau's 2003 film Zapata or the soap drama Mujer de Madera, you, like me, probably can't wait for a ticket. Let's hope there are lots of shirtless scenes. And a musical number wearing only underwear wouldn't be too bad, either.
